NOV11BC

Hello there my fellow digital crusaders!

Check out my previous task: develop an editorial calendar. What I did was separating tasks into categories then slot them into my Google Calendar. On the other hand, I would also like to learn how did you usually plan your blog posting regime, please share it at the comment section.

Set Up an Ideas Folder

Ideas are the most essential part of any blog posts that you’re working on to produce. But as we all may know, our creative juicy ideas always come to us when we usually least expect it – while we’re having shower, jogging, commuting in the car, dining, and so on. But those ideas will just become history if we don’t save them.

Ideas comes and goes in a blink of an eye. It’s really frustrating when I failed to recall all those brilliant ideas that came into my mind, where I would rely on my brain to do the job of saving these ideas into my brain’s memory slot. I was completely wrong, those brilliant ideas had vanished into thin air and will never come back.

My Task Today:

Setting up an idea collection mechanism to be used.

I usually write down my ideas into a piece of paper and notebook. However, the drawback for this system is that I couldn’t access them while I’m on the go. It’s really inconvenient to carry around a notebook and pen everywhere I go and it’s too bulky. This is where I rely much on using digital data storage.

Evernote makes note taking easier. I store all of my notes, ideas, files, web clips and even my blog posts into Evernote. Everything were sync on my computer and smartphone. I can take note and access them anywhere.

Elisha Batuncang Evernote

In Evernote, I create a “stack” or folder for each of my blogs. When an idea, inspiration or thoughts pops into my head, I’ll just quickly grab my phone or access my computer’s Evernote application, and just simply write a short phrase and save them into the relevant folder for me to work on in the future.

Here’s a question for you:

Please share your approach on how you store your ideas for future content on your blog.
